Introduction
(Inspired by the Holy Spirit December 31, 2022)
We all hunger and thirst after knowledge and light. We are all seekers, but we don’t always know what we should seek, or where to find truth. Out in the world, without the true light to lead us, we seek truth in worldly knowledge and the philosophies of men. Certain truths can be found there, but they give only partial knowledge and shallow satisfactions.
The truth that nourishes the soul cannot be found in the world. It can only be found in Jesus Christ and His teachings. Christ came into the world of mortals to teach these eternal truths, and He continues to teach them to all who ask for light and knowledge. He gives us the Comforter in addition to His light, that Holy Spirit which will dwell with us forever if we will only turn to Him and ask for it.
Light and knowledge cannot simply be poured into your head and heart from afar. You must ponder the Holy Word, pray and ask, knock and seek in faith, and then all things will be added unto you. You must reach up to Him, and then He will reach down to you. It is never too late to look up and see him waiting there.
